If a trainer does not have a class outline we recommend this one.
Let the student buy the $349.00 Ultimate Kit whichs provides the student with educational material prior to class. We recommend the student brings their kit to class so they will know how to use products.
Day 1
1) Student should read and study the educational material prior to class. This makes the class go smoother.
2) 1st hour review educational material, set up for procedure and discuss movement technique. (Q & A time)
3) Next 3 hours student should be working on a live model doing 90% of the work. You learn by doing. The instructor needs to be with the student at all times, instructing student on each movement. (We like to start with brows)
4) 1 hour lunch break
5) 30 minute review of morning procedure (Q & A time)
6) Next 3 hours student should be working on a live model. (We like eyeliner as our 2nd procedure)
7) Clean up and review 2nd procedure (Q & A time)
8) Day is done and you both will be tired!
Day 2
1) 1st hour review previous day (Q & A time)
2) Next 3 hours student should be working on a live model (lips)
3) 1 hour lunch break
4) A test should be provided that reviews all the things that you have learned doing brows, liner and lips. It should be open book with the instructor going over the questions and helping you understand what you have just learned. (If the instructor does not one they can contact EZ Permanent Makeup and we will provide one to use or use it as a guide line to make up their own test).
You will learn how to implant pigment very easily. The skills to do really good work is learned from doing more models, usually at home on family and friends etc. and often at no cost to the model. You will become quite comfortable after doing a half a dozen procedures. It is just part of the learning process. We recommended to our students when they get home to start practicing doing hair strokes in their friends and family brows. If you look most people have vacant spaces in their eyebrows. This will build your confidence. The biggest problem of learning this process is developing the confidence to do good work. Good luck.
We recommend if you live within driving distance of your trainer that you divide the training days one week apart. You will be exhausted after the first day and lips are harder to learn. The money is in liner and brows. Some students never learn lips because they are difficult. They often learn the lips on their own after they have done lots of brows and liners.
Trainers; are not all equal and you should talk to several before you spend your money. You can check out PermanentMakeupSociety for a trainer in your area. And there are many others that are not listed there, check you local practicing technicians. You may not need one.
If you are willing to travel to learn we can recommend trainers that have been in the business for years and we are confident they will do a good job.
The best way to insure that you have a live model to work on in class is by taking your model with you. Trainers schedule live models but things happen and they do not show sometimes.
IT IS NOT UNCOMMON FOR PERMANENT MAKEUP TECHNICIAN'S TO WORK FROM THEIR HOME OR MOBILE UNIT.
Where ever you choose to attend your classes. Look for schools or trainers with written guidelines. Curriculum that is printed and followed by
the trainers. The schedule should be printed for all to see and check off every procedure service as you progress. You want a trainer that will be
by your side throughout the complete process. Having guidance all the way through your learning experience builds confidence and trainers can quickly correct any wrong movement or stretching so you never develop a bad habit by incorrectly applying.
Please keep in mind, if you buy the Ultimate Learning Kit and you can learn through the DVDs and 60 page booklet, you will only have $350.00 investment. If you decide you can not learn this on your own, a trainer will cost you $500.00 to $800.00 per day + Ultimate kit for $350.00 = $1,100.00 maximum. Surprising number of people have learned and are in business spending only $350.00 the cost of a kit.

Important Permanent Makeup Tips
Permanent makeup is not that difficult to learn. If it were difficult you could not learn permanent makeup in short period of time.
Crafts that are difficult often take months or years to learn. There are 3 important things you need to know about implanting pigment.
1. Stretching the skin properly. If you do not stretch the skin properly you will have to re-do your work several times. A good technician who stretches the skin properly does not have to re-do their work. It is critical that you stretch the skin so that the holes become large enough for the pigments to enter the skin. When the skin is stretched properly you reduce the pain level by 40% and we can teach you that, your finger should never be more than one inch apart when stretching skin. A one inch stretch takes all the elasticity out of the skin.
2. Movement of the needle so that you get a proper implant. If the needle is not moved properly you will cause tearing of the skin and excess bleeding and you will have to re-do your work costing you time and money. We teach the proper movement of the needle, through our instruction DVD's.
3. There are two methods of applying permanent makeup.
1) Manual hand method. aka: Micro-blading, embroidery, 3-D, soft-touch
2) Machine method. Both methods are important to know and are explained in our educational DVD's.
If you would like to have a more detail explanation of these two methods please call Ralph 1.509.990.0925
The educational DVD's and 60 page Instruction Booklet explain many other things, outlining your work, topical application, color selection, product and tool information, aftercare info, and legal forms and many other things that have to do with applying permanent makeup. The benefit of DVD's over a personal instruction on these maters is you can watch them over and over again and you learn each time you watch them.
Artist ability is something no one can teach, you can only be taught how to implant pigment properly. The most successful in this business are not always the most artistic. The more successful people developed confidence and are not afraid to solicit business.
The DVDs explain many different things, that you need to know to be successful in the business.
Practice makes perfect!
We have 3-D practice skin that comes in the kit to perfect your movement. You can graduate to using live models.
Models are not a problem you can use the internet (Craigslist). We suggest you do 3 to 5 services on models before you start charging, this will give you the confidence you will need. The customer is easier to deal with when they think you know your business.
This course is not for everybody, but some have had very good results with this program. It is especially good for those people that learn well on their own. This is for those who want to become a certified permanent makeup artist. It is also good for individuals who have done permanent makeup in other countries and now live in America and want to be certified. One of the best technicians I have ever seen, had no prior training and used this course to get certified and her work is outstanding.
We are not a new company and have been doing business since 1980. When you have been doing it this long you have learned a lot of things and we will gladly pass that on to you.
CERTIFICATION GUIDELINES
1) "Before and After" photos of different procedures. The photos have to be close up so we can see the quality of the work.
2) Test that you must complete. It is a teaching test and if you do not know the answers please contact Ralph and he will explain the answers to you. We think it is important you know and understand the answers. The test is designed to teach you about permanent makeup, not just to test your on material information.
3) Provide written testimonial statements from your models on how they feel your service was preformed.
4) Submit back to EZ Permanent Makeup with $25.00 for the printing and mailing of your beautiful "Certificate of Completion"
